About Chris

Chris trained in illustration at Falmouth College of Arts (now University College Falmouth) in Cornwall, and became freelance after obtaining my BA (Hons) and MA. He has a keen interest in the natural world – particularly in the fields of herpetology and palaeontology – and in late 19th/early 20th century art and design.

Since becoming freelance he has worked in a variety of diverse fields including book and magazine illustration, CD covers, set painting for television and mural painting for domestic interiors, as well as undertaking privately commissioned work. His subjects and styles have covered a wide spectrum from cartoons to more technical work.

His notable publications have included illustrations for ‘The Valley of Secrets’ by Charmian Hussey and the trilogy ‘Stoneheart’, ‘Ironhand’ and ‘Silvertongue’ by Charlie Fletcher.

He is currently engaged in developing a range of greetings cards for Outside the Box Enterprises.
