Philip Bowne lives in London and works as a television and fiction writer for The Wombles – a forthcoming children’s TV show and book series. His first novel Cows Can’t Jump was recently awarded the Spotlight First Novel Prize. The text was chosen to be read at literary event Novel London.
Phil’s short fiction has been published in the UK, US and Canada, including The Lampeter Review, The Atticus Review, Bartleby Snopes and Birkbeck University’s Writers’ Hub. Phil has worked as a travel writer for Endsleigh, Lonely Planet and The Guardian, and in 2016 he worked as a volunteer in the Calais ‘jungle’ refugee camp.
